Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Great value for budget travelers — With prices from £9 and a guest rating of 5.0, this hostel delivers essentials at an affordable rate, as multiple guests note the unbeatable price-quality ratio.
  • Clean and well-maintained facilities — Guests repeatedly praise the spotless bathrooms and kitchen, and mention clean, comfortable rooms. The female-only dorm includes its own shower and heating.
  • Excellent location near metro and city center — The hostel is close to the city center of Pest, a metro station, and a shopping center, making it easy to explore Budapest.
  • Private parking garage on-site — Parking is available, which is a convenience rarely found in central hostels. One guest noted motorcycle parking is possible.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Limited common areas and decor upkeep — A guest noted that the sofas in the common room could use vacuuming, and another mentioned minor maintenance issues, suggesting the public areas aren't as polished as the dorms.
  • Wi-Fi only in public areas — Free Wi-Fi is available only in public spaces, not in rooms, which may be inconvenient if you want to work or stream from your bed.
  • Shared bathrooms in most dorms — Only the female-only dorm has a private shower; other dorms rely on shared facilities. Showers are available with minimal wait, but privacy is limited.
  • No pets allowed — If you’re traveling with a pet, this isn’t the place — the policy is clearly no pets.

“The bathrooms and kitchen were spotless — I was genuinely impressed. Location is incredible, with a cozy bar next door and a mall a short walk away; the food court had amazing, affordable options. Convenient to metro and bus stops and mini grocery stores. Quirky, hipster decor. Check-in staff didn’t speak perfect English but were so sweet and helpful. Not crowded in February — got 3 nights for just 15 euros, a total bargain. Spacious, well-maintained, though the common room sofas could use a vacuum. Showers always available with minimal wait, rooms clean and no bad smells. The chandelier ventilator was a nice touch on hot days. Plenty of nearby restaurants, plus a shared kitchen. Location is the major highlight.”

“I chose Westend for its location near Heroes' Square, which I wanted to visit. Was pleasantly surprised by the option of check-in/out outside reception hours, which added flexibility. Also enjoyed Lehel Csarnok market nearby with fresh food and drinks.”
